The contour lines#
The lines behind this site are Singapore as it is: real heights, real coastline, real depths. Land contours every 5 metres, a little heavier every 25; the boldest line is the coastline; dashed lines are depths. Point at them for the position and height, click to move to another place on the island.
Heights come from a surface model, so they include trees and buildings, smoothed over about 200 metres. Depths come from a global model with one value every 460 metres or so. Not for navigation.
